Courtesy Meeting Held Between Two Distinguished Personalities at Bangladesh Secretariat
On Thursday, July 9, 2026, a courtesy meeting between two distinguished personalities was held in a cordial atmosphere at the Bangladesh Secretariat.
During the meeting, Alhajj Lion Khan Akhtaruzzaman MJF, President of Lions Club of Dhaka Capital Garden and Adviser of Leo Club of Dhaka Capital Garden City, paid a courtesy call on Lion Dr. Faridul Islam, former Secretary to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, President of Bagerhat District Officers’ Forum, and respected Adviser of Greater Khulna Association and Lions Club of Dhaka Capital Garden.
At the end of the courtesy meeting, Lion Khan Akhtaruzzaman MJF presented a copy of the Lions International Magazine to Lion Dr. Faridul Islam.
During the meeting, they exchanged views in a warm and cordial manner on various issues, including social service, good governance, leadership development, humanitarian welfare, and ways to make the activities of voluntary organizations more dynamic. Both personalities emphasized the importance of expanding joint initiatives and humanitarian activities for the betterment of society.
Alhajj Lion Khan Akhtaruzzaman MJF is a life member of Bangla Academy. He is also actively involved with various social, cultural, and business organizations as a respected member of Bangladesh Lions Foundation, Entrepreneur Club Foundation, National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam Institute, Khulna Diabetic Association, Bangladesh Senior Citizens Welfare Society, Bangladesh Scout Guide Fellowship, International Business Forum of Bangladesh (IBFB), and Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The attendees expressed hope that this courtesy meeting, held in a friendly atmosphere, would further strengthen mutual relations and play a positive role in expanding future cooperation in social welfare and public service activities.
